Commercial Property

We have wide experience in acquiring and disposing of land and buildings for varied commercial and developer clients.

The commercial department handles the property portfolio of a number of substantial property owning companies and institutions. The transactions we have undertaken range from the more complicated sale of a large office building under a contract conditional on planning and subject to leases, coupled with a lease back and surrender of one unit, to a simpler acquisition of a bird-park, warehousing and or the smallest development site in London.

We are recommended by a number of developers to handle their new-build sales.

It is now common practice for developers to recommend firms to act for prospective buyers. The advantage for the buyer is that the recommended firm can consider the documentation carefully and at the outset of the development negotiate better terms for their clients. The solicitor should also be able to report to the client quickly upon receipt of the documentation from the developer’s solicitors. This can be very appealing for many developers who seek a very fast exchange of contracts (sometimes just ten days after the buyer has submitted an offer).
