For a number of years Ashworths has supported Give-it-Away.
Give-it-Away is not a charity in its own right, but is a company that develops and trades in property and gives ALL of its profits away to local charities. In recognition of the work that “the company” has done, its CEO Charlotte Grobien was awarded the OBE in this year’s Honour’s list.
This week co-coincides with the completion of the sale of the second new home built by Give-it-Away at Hermitage Road in Woking. Ashworths were pleased to have advised Charlotte on the purchase of the site on an entirely pro bono basis, and have also dealt with the sales entirely free of charge.
Charlotte and Give-it-Away have been long term supporters of Sebastian’s Action Trust, a charity which provides practical and emotional support and assistance to families with seriously ill children, including providing respite breaks to families in the UK’s first purpose built holiday home. Last weekend Ashworth’s Managing Partner, Brendan Dean, who is a Trustee of Sebastian’s Action Trust was delighted to be present when Charlotte presented the Trust with a cheque for £30,000.
