Commercial Property Solicitors Wimbledon

Ashworths specialises in undertaking commercial property work. In our view “Commercial Property” includes a wide range of property-related work. At Ashworths our Expertise commercial property solicitors include:

    • Working with property professionals in the acquisition and set up of residential, commercial, and mixed-use development sites.
    • Acting for businesses with multiple property holdings.
    • Dealing with individual property acquisitions and disposals
A specified partner in the firm will be responsible for the work carried out and will serve as the main point of contact for you, the client.

Complex matters can be dealt with by more than one case-handler, whilst any large client will have two case-handlers allocated to them to ensure easy availability.
The department has recently been involved in the following types of transactions:

Acquisition of land

Our Commercial property solicitors have recently acted for a Hong Kong consortium in the acquisition of a large plot of land in East London from a developer who in turn contracted to build out three blocks of high-specification residential flats. We are also currently dealing with the sales of the individual units.
We have recently acted for a UK developer in acquiring a substantial brown-field site in South East London. The site has planning permission for industrial use and will soon be built out by the developer.

Commercial Leases

The department acts for various retail companies in assisting in the management of their property portfolios (including the acquisition and disposal of freehold and leasehold premises). An example of a recent transaction involved acquiring a turnover rent retail unit in a Designer Village Factory Outlet – a relatively new sight in the high turnover retail market.

Acquisition and disposal of land and buildings

The department handles the property portfolio for a number of substantial property-owning companies. Various transactions have included the acquisition of a bird-park, warehousing and also the smallest development site in London. Another recent example of a transaction conducted for one of our major clients was the sale of a large office building in Birmingham under a contract conditional on planning and subject to existing leases, coupled with a lease back and surrender of one unit.

We are happy to discuss your requirements with you and to advise in general terms on all aspects of the transaction and the estimated legal cost. Please either contact us by telephone or email us at: info@ashworths.co.uk
